Apsara Beachfront Review

Thailand, the land of smiles, the perfect holiday destination, and we were thrilled to stay at the Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villa. Located in Khao Lak that is home to breathtaking sunsets and one of the best surfing beaches in Thailand.

Immediately after arriving at the resort you can enjoy the beauty of the tropical nature, as the resort is surrounded by green areas, forests and water. Though the resort area is huge, you always feel close to nature with the stunning jungle background and the shimmering ocean.

Seeing the resort for the first time was very impressive. With its wonderful architecture and aesthetic design, it felt like we were standing in the center of an Asian palace. We had truly found a hidden gem. The entrance itself was mesmerizing, long colorful corridors, leading you to the beautiful surroundings of the beachfront. Even the furnishing was complete with a tropical appearance, creating a haven of exclusive beachfront comfort.

The Villa

The staff greeted us and the check-in went smoothly with welcome drinks. We stayed in their Jacuzzi Villa, a very spacious villa that comes with a private garden and your own jacuzzi. The villa had a nice atmosphere because of the interior and furniture choices that helped with keeping the space feeling open and light. Overall, a very unique experience for us.

Besides, the two most important parts of the villa didn't disappoint either. The bedroom had a super comfortable bed, and the bathroom came with a split shower and toilet area with full amenities. Moreover, the bathroom had two entrances, one connected to the rest of the ville, and one facing the garden and the jacuzzi.

Also, from the villa it is a two-minute walk to another hidden gem. You have direct access to Thailand’s most beautiful surf destination, Memories Beach. An uncrowded beach with friendly waves, makes it great for surfing, and you can not avoid their own local surf school, Better Surf Thailand. A passionate surf school, with an authentic surfer vibe, that offers surf lessons to all levels and ages.

Facilities at Apsara

When it comes to facilities and services at Apsara, there is plenty of entertainment for everyone. The resort provides the regular facilities like spa, a gym, 3 (amazing) pools, but also some more exclusive ones like a library, DJ on the weekends, a fire show on the beach, three different restaurants and so much more. You can rent surfboards there as well.

The Food

Their restaurants serve delicious food too. We had a lovely dinner enjoying the sunset at their Karkinos restaurant, an Italian inspired restaurant located right at the beach. We knew that the pizza they have is famously known in town, so we treated ourselves to their pizza. It is not a secret that both of us love pizza…but who doesn't? And it was seriously that good! Love Love Love!

The following day we had breakfast at the Kinnaree Restaurant. Their breakfast buffet has everything your heart desires. Cheerful live cooking station cuisines, a long stretch of international breakfast and not to forget their Thai cuisine - really yummy dishes, especially the delicious noodle soup. They have a wealth of options to choose from. Next up was the assortment of fresh fruit. We saw pineapple, dragon fruit, watermelon, papaya and mango all gorgeous and colorful, and we loved to start our day with a rainbow fruit platter!

Lastly, we would like to thank the lovely staff. All are very helpful and always with a smile on their face.

What a perfect place to eat, sleep, surf and relax. Reward yourself with a stay there:)
